Trying to Become a Model?

Use these tips for casting calls.

Keep It Simple.

Casting agents don't want to see how cute your outfit is or how nice your accessories are...
they want to see you. They're looking for a blank canvass that can be molded and has flexibility.

A pair of jeans that flatter your figure, and plain tee, and a pair of heels go great.
Wear your hair back so they can see your features and face structure. Don't wear any jewelry or accessories. Keep makeup to a bare minimum. Concealer, foundation, mascara, and a nude gloss are perfect. Tinted moisturizers are great to even out skin tone. Just be careful not to overload the concealer and foundation!

Know Your Niche.

Before you go... educate yourself a little about whatever the type of modeling you're pursuing. Study models in magazines, commercials and on runaways. Read a little about famous fashion designers and models if you want to be a fashion model.

Be Confident.

Whether or not you portray confidence is a key. Recruiters want to see that you are sure of yourself even if you aren't the greatest.

Tip: Pay attention to your body language. Place your arms at your sides pointing slightly outward. Never cross or place them being your back. Cross one leg over the other and point your foot forward. This shows that your open and secure!

Be Unique.

Casting agents will most likely see 100s of girls that could be hire based on looks. You need to let your uniqueness and personality shine through to separate you from others and and make a lasting impression. Don't worry, you don't have to be extra bubbly! Just make sure you show personality in everything you do!
