Heidi's Princess 'Bling Bling' Wedding

Okay,
I know I'm a little late on this, but this is something I've been meaning to talk about.
So how tacky is it to have a 'bling bling' wedding?
The dress was absolutely beautiful...
But it looks like she randomly threw on a whole bunch of bling...
Complete overkill.
And the hair...
Neater, soft curls would have done better for her.
A wedding ensemble should be classical and timeless.
Looking back on this, she'd see a young, 'new money', LA girl.

AND did you know that Heidi and Spencer make 65k each PER EPISODE?
(Sorry I had to add this in here)
What kind of bull!@#$ is that?
Doctors who have slaved away at college for 8 years don't even make that much.
And all Speidi does is sit around, gossip and fight and they get 65k for a stupid 1/2 hour episode?
There is truly something wrong with America.

Lauren actually admitted during an interview that the show isn't all 'reality'.
She wasn't really on the other line when Spencer made that apology call.
She never received an apology from him.
I found that pretty shocking.

So anyway...
WDYT about Heidi's look?
Tacky Or Classy?

I thought I would share with you my favorite sites that I like to go on when I'm at home relaxing.

1. polyvore.com: If you love fashion and art this site sooo much fun. You can use it to shop almost any store, and make outfits with what you find. It's also fun for making collages, and expressing yourself.

2. gURL.com: I've been a member of this site for about 4 years. It has information about everything from body image to dating. It also has games, quizzes and message boards where you can connect with people from all around the world and talk about any and everything.

3. picnik.com: On this site you can upload your pics, and edit them by adding text, graphics and much more. I love this because I don't have any photo editing software on my computer... and it's free!

4. ivillage.com: The beauty and style section of this site has a free virtual makeover. Upload a picture of yourself and you can pick out different makeup and hairstyles and see how they look on you.

Gaga In The Room

What do you think of Lady Gaga's unique style?

I find it refreshing to see someone who's actually
different and original
in the music industry!

And I'm in <3 with her music.
I think I'm going to buy her album.
It's been a while since I've said that about anyone.

Check out these songs by her they're great!:
Boys, Boys, Boys
LoveGame
Beautiful Dirty Rich
Paparazzi
Paper Gangster

Flat Irons: Splurge or Save?

When it comes to flat irons, is to necessary to splurge on an expensive one, or can you get the same look with a cheaper one? This Conair flat iron (above) costs about $25 and is the one I have. Basically it's a piece if @#$%. I have to go over the same section multiple times to get it straight enough, and even after that it's not at my desired straightness. I've also tried my mom's Revlon iron for about the same price, and got the same results. On the other hand, I've tried my roommate's Chi flat iron, that's wroth about $190, but can be found on sale for about $80. It was absolutely divine compared to my Conair! I only had to go over a section one time and it came out sleek, and much more flat. Bottom line: If you like to straighten your hair often, then YES, splurging is necessary on a flat iron. You'll save time, expensive trips to the salon, and limit damage on your hair. I plan on investing in an expensive one so I can start to do my hair on my own.
I would recommend using a smoothing serum and protectant such as this Mizani Thermasmooth Smooth Guard Smoothing Serum. It's very light, protects against heat damage, makes your hair smooth for easy styling, and enhances the effects of the heat utensil.

Fashion Icon

Lauren Conrad.

I don't know about you, but I think LC always looks fabulous. Her style is classical and simple, and she still has that glam factor. What do you think of her style?

I'm trying to imitate her style a little bit. And I love how she wears the braids on the side of her hair!

LC at Speidi's wedding. I didn't think she'd show up, but she looked great when she finally did! Oh and Heidi looked absolutely terrible... but that's a different topic. I swear I have those exact sunglasses. And I want that bag!!

Love, love, love the dress... the belt is an excellent way to add shape or change up a summer dress. The side pony completes the chic look.

Very simple. LC outside of a Los Angeles club.

This dress is amazing. It gives her just the right curves and I just love the print and colors.

The high wasted, red skirt is wonderful. A skirt like that is definitely the next addition to my wardrobe. I really like the natural looking wavy hair.
